The Background
This project focused on renovating The Sovereign Suite at Roomzzz Manchester Victoria – one of the most prestigious suite in the hotel.
The owners, Park Lane Group, wanted a high-end, luxurious finish that would justify a premium price for guests. The lead designer, FatFish Design, developed the concept and our role was to bring their vision to life with expert precision.
The Challenge
Working in a live hotel environment, we had to minimise disruption for both staff and guests. With the suite located at the far end of the building, transporting materials and equipment required careful planning to ensure quiet, efficient workflows.
Our team followed a strict professional and considerate approach, ensuring that our work was executed discreetly and to the highest standard - in line with our core commitment to respect and optimise the surroundings that we work in.
The Project
The renovation covered a living area, lounge, kitchen, and bedroom - all requiring a top-quality finish.
Our key tasks included:
Removing walls to create a more open, luxurious layout.

Structural reinforcement (patress installation) to ensure walls were load-bearing.

Bespoke joinery, including a custom wardrobe, desk, dining table, and bookcase.
Final Result
We took pride in solving the project’s challenges while maintaining a high level of efficiency. The combination of bespoke detailing and large-scale joinery work resulted in a stunning transformation that exceeded expectations. As perfectionists, we conducted a final post-completion review to ensure all details were flawless, and the client was delighted with the result. As well as this, they confirmed that they hadn’t received a single complaint whilst the work was ongoing – a testament to our focus on respect for the live hotel environment.
